Text Box: Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Exodus 14:16-30
But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
1 Chronicles 11:14
And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.
Joshua 6
Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD. And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD. And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout. So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD. And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD. So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her. And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.

Matthew 9:11-13
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why is your teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?
But Jesus having heard it, said to them, Those who are strong have no need of a physician, but those who are ill. But you go and learn what is meant by, ‘I will to have mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance
Matthew 28:18-19

Now there was a man from the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one is able to do these signs that you are doing, if God is not with him.
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one has not been born anew, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus says to him, How is a man able to be born when he is elderly? He is not able to enter into his mother's womb a second time and to be born again, is he?
Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, If one has not been born out of water and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God! That which is born from the flesh is flesh, and what is born from the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born anew

For to you is the promise and to your children and to all who are from afar, as many as the Lord our God may call to him. And he testified and encouraged them with many other words, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation. Then they, who gladly accepted his word, were immersed. Acts 8:1-39
But when they believed Philip proclaiming the good-news concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were immersed, both men and women. Now when the apostles who were in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them; who, when they had come down, prayed concerning them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For he had not yet fallen upon any of them, but they were only immersed into the name of Jesus Christ. Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.
But when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them monies, saying, Also give me this authority, that if on whomever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.
But Peter said to him, Your silver along with you, let it be toward your destruction!
Because you have thought to procure the gift of God with monies. You have neither part nor portion in this word, for your heart is not straight before God. Therefore you repent of this, of your malice and beseech God; if, consequently, the intent of your heart will be forgiven you.
For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of unrighteousness.
And answering, Simon said, You beseech to the Lord on behalf of me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.
Therefore when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem and proclaimed the good-news to many villages of the Samaritans.
But a messenger of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Stand up and go toward the midday sun to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a wilderness. And he stood up and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch sovereign under Candace, the queen of Ethiopia, who was in charge over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship; he was returning and sitting in his chariot and was reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join yourself to this chariot.
And Philip ran up to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and said, Do you know what you are reading?
And he said, For how can I, if someone does not guide me? And he pleaded with Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, ‘He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb before his shearer is voiceless, so he did not open his mouth. His judgment was taken away in his humiliation. But who will describe his generation? Because his life is taken from the earth.’ And answering Philip, the eunuch said, I am beseeching you, concerning whom is the prophet speaking about in this? Is he speaking concerning himself or concerning some other person?
And Philip opened his mouth and beginning from this Scripture, proclaimed to him Jesus. And as they went on the road, they came to a certain water, and the eunuch says, Behold, here is water; what is preventing me from being immersed; I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? And he commanded the chariot to stand still and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch and he immersed him. And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, for he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 9:1-6
But Saul, still breathing threats and murder toward the disciples of the Lord, having come to the high-priest, asked of him letters for Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found anyone, who were of the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
But it happened as he went on, when he drew near to Damascus; suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, and he fell upon the earth and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
And he said, Who are you, Lord?
And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick the cattleprods. And I said, Who are you, Lord?
And the Lord said, Stand up and enter into the city and it will be told to you what you must do.
