How would you like to be a genius? I am sure that most people like the idea. Well this is how to become a genius. Read and follow the Bible. The Word of Truth. We have so many people become so wise. Donít believe it. The Bible makes it clear that the only knowledge that will be worth anything is spiritual knowledge.

Yet where do we spend our time getting knowledge? Watching the TV? Buried in a book? OR are we buried in the Bible trying to find out how we can help ourselves AND others. ďAll to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give.Ē Does this include your free time too? I say Your free time, but is it yourís? No! Like everything else you possess it belongs to God. God asks that return to Him what is His. He wants us to return to Him His time that He has given to us. He wants it returned to Him by us WORKING for Him. He has many things that you can be doing for Him. We need to be looking for these things and then getting off our duffs and getting to work for Him. Studying is a way of helping Him but we need to make sure that we are not using it as an excuse for staying home. We need to balance our study and our helping of others.
One of the best ways to become a genius is to go out and find out what you donít know. If you are doing a Bible study and someone asks you a question that you do not know the answer to, feel good. You are being given an opportunity to learn. Many times the honesty of you saying ďI donít know the answer, however I will find it out for you by the next time we meet togetherĒ will show the person that you truly are interested not only in teaching them but in learning for yourself. Let them know that you want to learn from them, if possible, and to learn from the questions they ask. Life is never a one way street. You will always be learning. Make sure that you are putting spiritual knowledge first.

Any genius will know to use other peoples knowledge. Use your elder Christians. Not necessarily the oldest people. Use the people who have been Christians the longest. How ill you use them? You will find that they are generally very willing to pass their knowledge on to you. Find a time to talk with them about the Bible. LISTEN carefully to what they have to tell you about the Bible and its characters. Listen to them tell you about salvation and living the life of a Christian. They can help you study on your own. They can help you when temptation arises. However remember they are human too. Many times people ruin a good thing by smothering a person.

Remember that they need some room to do their own thing too. Their knowledge is only to supplement Godís Word - NEVER to replace it.

We will be celebrating thanksgiving next month. This is a time when we give thanks for the blessings that we have received. Let us have babes in Christ to be thankful for also.Letís pull out all the stops and have a massive collection drive. A collection of souls for Jesus. Let us all get together and have an evangelathon. We need to help people understand the person that they really need to be thankful to. We need to show them that they do not even have any idea of what happiness could mean for them.

We need to realize that most people are not willing to listen to our message. However we need to remember that the more people we talk with the more souls are won for Christ. The more we let people know about Jesus the more people will come to know Him. We need to remember that our job is to preach, teach and get the message out. We are not the ones who will save anyone. The Holy Spirit does that. We need to get the message out. Let us go out and get the message out in a great campaign. A campaign of thanksgiving.

Tell me, are you thankful for Jesus coming into your life? Are you really thankful? If so the only way that you can try to pay your debt is to give your salvation away. Not actually. It would be impossible. That is the attitude that we must have though. Loving others so much that we are willing to die for them.

Go love somebody to death. We need to go forth and find a sinner to love to death. We need to find sinners that we can love so much that they will make the decision to be buried with Jesus.

Go get a paper and pencil (or pen) and write down your goals for how many people you will talk to during this evangelathon. Then push yourself to go beyond it. Your friendsí lives depend on it. And it is much better to have a friend that is a Christian than a sinner. Make your goals reasonable and obtainable. Make them so you will have to stretch to get to them, though. Give yourself a chance to succeed for God. And when you pass your first goal set a new higher goal.

After Thanksgiving this year letís have something to remember. Letís have some new contracts, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. Letís go forth and let the world know we are thankful and want them to be also.
